Addison Lankester was born in Lewisham, London, in 1885: he was the second son of Percy Lankester, 29yrs, Manufacturer, and Ada Mary, 28yrs, nee Thompson. He had an older brother, Kenneth, born 1882. In 1901, Addison was a boarder at Uppingham School, Rutland.
On 20th August 1910, Addison, 25yrs, married Violetta Rand Noble, of Newcastle, at St. Matthew, Bayswater, his occupation was Engineer. The following year, in the 1911 census, Addison gave his occupation as Dentist, and was living with Violetta in Kingston-on-Thames. In 1912, they were living at Highwood House, Kingston Hill, the home of his mother, Ada Lankester. Addison and Violetta had 2 sons, Addison G. born 1913, and John Arthur, born 1918.
Violetta died, aged 74yrs, in 1958, in Surrey, and Addison then moved to Jersey, C.I., where he died, aged 78yrs, on 22nd June 1963, at 44, Elizabeth Avenue, St. Brelades. Probate was granted to Neill Creagh Chapman, solicitor, effects £8638 -value 2021 - £185K.
