Obituary

Worthing Gazette - 10th May 1905

Death of Mrs Cracknell - Much sympathy will be extended to Mr Thomas Cracknell of "St Michael's" Church Road, Heene, in the great bereavement he has sustained in the death of his wife. The deceased lady, who was in her sixty-ninth year, had endured much suffering for a long time past, being a victim of that terrible malady, cancer; but she passed peacefully away at 10 o'clock on Sunday night. The funeral will take place at Heene Cemetery on Friday. Mrs Cracknell and her husband have been highly respected inhabitants of the neighbourhood for many years past, having resided at Broadwater prior to their occupation of St Michael's. They removed to the Isle of Wight for a time, but returned to their home at West Worthing.
