Arthur Leslie was born in 1910 in Worthing and his family lived at 13 Milton Street Arthur Leslie was the third child born to parents Arthur Herbert Hall born Brighton and Emma Eliza Tywman born Wateringbury Kent, where his father's occupation was a Grocers counterman and assistant. In 1913 Arthur and his sister Violet Elsie die aged 7 and Arthur Leslie aged 2, both are laid to rest in Heene Cemetery next to each other.
