Life story

Life story

Catherine's father Alexander Fraser, of Dunballon and Newton, was employed by the Honourable East India Company and was the representative of the Fraser family. He married Catherine's mother Emilia Walker, the daughter of Rev. William Walker, a missionary to India in Delhi, Bengal. It is probable that Catherine was baptised twice, once in Goorgoon, Delhi, Bengal on 13th April 1847 and again in Inverness in 1848. A sister Margaret Elizabeth was baptised in Heene on 1st March 1852. She died in 1929 and was buried in Heene Cemetery. Catherine's last address was 4 Pembridge Villas, Kensington. She died on 9th December 1934 at 30 Dorchester Square, Hyde Park, London. Perhaps she wished to be buried near her sister. Probate was granted on 20th February 1935 to Thomas Ramsey Biscoe JP . Effects £372 18s 2d.

Thomas Biscoe was the son of Thomas Porter Biscoe and Wilhelmine nee Fraser, the sister of Alexander Fraser.
