Emmeline Eliza Pillet was born in Sydney, Australia, in 1849; she was the daughter of Jules Pillet, 33yrs, born in France, and Eliza Jane Pillet, 22yrs, she had a younger brother, Felix Albert, born in London, in 1863.

Emmeline and her brother, Felix, lived with their parents in London all of their adult lives. Emmeline had no occupation and Felix had a career as an insurance clerk. Their father died in 1893 and they continued to reside with their widowed mother until her death in 1915.

In 1916, aged 53yrs, Felix married Laura Olley and Emmeline continued to live with Felix and her sister-in-law in Deptford, London, into the 1920s. At some point they all moved to Worthing, Sussex, and Emmeline died, aged 81, on 25th January 1931, her address was 64 Richmond Road. Laura died just 3 months later.

Probate was granted to Felix Pillet, effects £1437 18s 1d. Value 2023 - £125,240.
