Life story

Florence Annie Grieve was the daughter of Frederick Watts, a horse keeper, and his wife, Ann, nee Cherry, and was born in Southoe in Huntingdonshire. She married Robert Stanley Grieve, a secretary, in 1905 at Leicester, and in 1911 they were living in Kendal in Westmoreland and Cumberland, known as Cumbria, nowadays. Their only child, Margaret Joan, was born in 1914 and Florence was widowed in 1920.
