Frances was born in 1840 in Featherstone Yorkshire to John and Emma Hethorn. Francis did not attend school but was taught at home.

Frances married Lionel booth on 10th February 1876 at the parish church Bowdon Altringham, Manchester, Lancashire.
They had 4 children Frances Edith Booth born 1879 Accrington, Lancashire. Mary Mabel Booth born 1880 Accrington, Lancashire. Lionel Hethorn Booth born 1881 Accrington, Lancashire. John Montagu Maynard Booth born 1883 Sherburn House Durham.
Lionel and Frances lived briefly at 146 Blackburn Road, Accrington Lancashire where Lionel worked at a medical practice. They moved to Sherburn House, Sherburn Hospital Durham where Lionel was appointed as House surgeon there. He became an MD and worked for 25 years at the hospital where he was held in high esteem. When Lionel retired due to ill health, he was presented with a roll top desk and an umbrella, Frances was presented with a silver tray. Because of Lionel's ill health they moved to Haddon House Shelley road, Worthing Sussex
Frances and Lionel's younger daughter Mary Mabel married George Middlemiss at the Holy Trinity Church, Worthing on 25th April 1907, the couple settled in Yorkshire.
As for the rest of their children
Frances Edith didn't marry and lived with her parents.
Lionel Hethorn also went into medicine and became house physician at Charing Cross hospital married Nora Mary Ellenshaw on 26th September 1933
Frances died on the 28th June 1911 in Worthing whilst living in Haddon house, Shelley Road Worthing. And left £1498 5s 6d (£117000 in 2020) to her Husband Lionel booth
