Life story

Frances Peard was born on 10th October 1869 in Hampstead to John Davis Peard, Solicitor, and Margaret Elizabeth nee Terrell, she was baptised on 4th November at St Mary the Virgin, Hampstead.  She had an older sister, Margaret Emma, born 1868, and she was followed by a brother, Henry Terrell Peard, 1871, and 4 sisters, Beatrice, 1874, Gertrude, 1877, and Olive, 1880, and Nora Russell 1882 (died in infancy).

Frances lived with her parents and remained unmarried. After several moves, from Willesden to Croydon, to Hastings and then in the early 1900s to Worthing, they lived at Darracot, St. Michael's Road where her father died in 1908, her mother in 1911.

Frances remained in Worthing until her death on 15th July 1936, aged 66yrs, at 130, Rowlands Road. Probate was granted to Noel Davis Peard, Solicitor, effects £3089 12s 4d. Value 2020 - £220K.
