Life story

Emma Jane Bowe (known as Jane) was born on 13th March 1894 in Islington, London. Her parents were William Bowe, 36yrs, Chemist's Manager, and Emily, 31yrs, nee Nicholas; she was an only child. In 1915, Jane married George Pace, at Kensington, she was widowed in 1918. Two years later, on 21st December 1920, Jane married Hugh Hugh Jones, 27yrs, Solicitor's Clerk, at St. Stephen's, Norbury. Jane was again widowed in 1928 when Hugh died, aged 34yrs, from TB. at 7, Wordsworth Road, Worthing, Sussex. Jane was living in Shute, Devon in 1939, she died in Hampstead on 15th August 1943, aged 49yrs.
