Life story

Life story

Percy Charles Poland was born in Worthing in September 1875. His father, Edward, a tailor and beer housekeeper, was 28 and his mother, Martha Mitchell, was also 28. He had four brothers and three sisters. He was christened on 25th February 1876 aged 5 months. He died in May 1876 and was buried on 26th May in Heene Cemetery, West Worthing, Sussex. His parents and several of his siblings are also buried in Heene.
