Life story

Life story

Aubrey Thomas Evans, Engineer, married Madeline Marta Von Ruttinger, a German citizen, resident in Italy, in 1909 in Cardiff. In 1916 Aubrey joined the RN Voluntary Reserves where he was seconded to the Air Service, attaining the rank of Major. He was awarded an OBE.

They had a son, Frederick, in 1918, and in 1921, a second son was born in Worthing, Robert Llewellyn Evans, who sadly died after 10 days.

Aubrey and family continued to live at Outspan Downview Road, and in 1958, aged 72yrs, Aubrey died in Italy.
